The Indiana House Republican Caucus and Indiana House Democratic Caucus have announced their leadership teams for the 2019 General Assembly.
House Speaker Brian Bosma (R-88) will remain in the role for a sixth term. Additional Republican leadership roles include Greg Steuerwald (R-40), who will serve as Majority Caucus Chair for the first time, and Matt Lehman (R-79), who will return as Majority Floor Leader. On Friday, November 2, INARF staff, The Arc of Indiana staff, Self-Advocates of Indiana, and Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services staff; along with INARF members Jim Allbaugh, Carey Services, Inc.; Patrick Cockrum, Sycamore Services, Inc.; Rick Adams, Benchmark Human Services; Allison Wharry, New Hope of Indiana; Randy Hall, Cardinal Services, Inc.; and Jason Meyer, Passages, Inc.; attended the 2018 CMS Region V State Summit, along with counterparts from other Region V states and representatives from the CMS Region V office.
The Center for Medicare Advocacy and the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare have partnered to develop an education and outreach project to support Medicare beneficiaries and those who assist them as they enroll and re-enroll in Medicare. The Medicare Fully Informed Project provides comprehensive information about the full range of Medicare coverage options and includes an array of tools to assist in making the best individual enrollment choices. The goal is to aid beneficiaries, and those who help beneficiaries, make informed enrollment decisions.
The Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) posted the following bulletin regarding Non-Emergency Medical Transportation to the provider website at https://www.in.gov/medicaid/providers/index.html on November 1 (unless alternate date is noted). It states that all transportation providers must be compliant with Southeastrans credentialing and electronic billing requirements within 30 days (by December 1, 2018).
