Gynecological care is just as important for women with disabilities, as for those without. Amid the growing awareness of health care disparities experienced by people with developmental disabilities in general, it is apparent that lack of informational resources and barriers to care pose a significant obstacle to women with disabilities seeking access to gynecological care.

The Senate review of the House passed budget, HB 1001, is underway as the Senate Appropriations committee heard author and Ways and Means Chair Tim Brown (R-Crawfordsville) present the "key contents" of the bill. Senate Appropriations will be scheduling hearings on an agency by agency basis over the next few weeks.
