Marcia Lynn Brown Bryan passed away on December 28 in Bloomington. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated in 1960 from Proviso High School (now Proviso East) in Maywood. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin in Madison where she majored in journalism with a minor in elementary education. She earned her Masters Degree from IUPUI in 1976 and her Doctor of Education from Indiana University in 1981.
The rapid pace of the Short Session is moving toward the mid-point, with adjournment anticipated in March. Next week is the final opportunity for bills to be heard in and to be passed from committees in their house of origin. The Third Reading deadline for bills to pass from their house of origin is Feb. 3 for the House and Feb. 5 for the Senate.
