Thanks to your outreach and education, the House Ways and Means Committee passed House Bill 1488 out of committee today by a vote of 20-0. As INARF staff anticipated, the bill was amended to remove all language with a significant fiscal impact (the crisis program fiscal language (Sec. 1) and DSP compensation language (Sec. 7)), leaving the crisis program establishment language (Sec. 1), the 1102 Task Force language (Sec. 2, 3, 4), the order of selection plan language (Sec. 5), and the Emergency placement language (Sec. 6) in the bill. Our goal is for the language removed from HB 1488 to be included in the budget bill (HB 1001).
Please watch for an email in the following days requesting your help as we advocate for an appropriation for DSP wages and a crisis program, to be included in the budget bill.
