House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) released appointments for House standing committee chairmanships, leadership positions and select, key committees for the 121st General Assembly.
Bosma reappointed State Rep. Tim Brown (R-Crawfordsville) to chair Ways and Means, and selected State Rep. Todd Huston (R-Fishers) to serve as co-chair while Brown continues his recovery from a serious motorcycle crash.
“With a tough budget session ahead, we wanted to make sure Representative Brown has the support he needs and that’s why Representative Huston will join him as a co-chair of this critical committee. Todd is a well-respected member of our caucus and has a great command of the issues.”
Bosma also reappointed State Rep. Dave Frizzell (R-Indianapolis) to chair Family, Children and Human Affairs and State Rep. Cindy Kirchhofer (R-Beech Grove) to chair Public Health.
The full list of today’s appointments can be found here. Bosma said he plans to announce the full standing committee assignment list in the coming weeks.
