New Hope Services, Inc. received approval from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) to expand its Aberdeen Woods Development. The project, developed in recognition of the evolving needs of seniors in Southern Indiana who continue to support their children and grandchildren, is a 29 unit complex located in Jeffersonville. Phase I of the project ended with five beautifully constructed duplexes with a total of 10 units. Before construction ended, New Hope Services, Inc. received approved lease applications for all 10 units and immediately began working on Phase II of the project. When IHCDA approved Phase II in August 2012, the units were again fully occupied upon completion. Phase III of the Aberdeen Woods Development will allow the INARF member to respond yet again to the desperate need for affordable housing for seniors who are raising grandchildren. James Bosley, President and CEO of New Hope Services, Inc., said “Receiving notification from IHCDA on Phase III of Aberdeen Woods is excellent news. We’ve known for years that having affordable housing options for seniors is a necessity. Now with this phase moving forward, we’ll be better able to meet those needs.” Comments are closed.
