IHCP Update: Published 10/29

The Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) posted the following important information to the provider website at in.gov/medicaid/providers on October 29, 2020 (unless alternate date is noted).

Provider Reference Modules
Division of Aging Home and Community-Based Services Waivers (October 30, 2020)

• Changed case management to care management
• Added notes about DXC name change to Gainwell
• Changed INsite references to CaMMS
• Updated service names
• Added references to Incident and Follow-Up Reporting (IFUR) tool
• Updated Section 1: Introduction
• Created and updated Section 2: Waiver Provider Requirements
• Updated the Verifying Eligibility for HCBS Waiver Services section
• Updated the Billing Instructions section, including adding the Assisted Living Billing Instructions subsection
• Added the Electronic Visit Verification System Required for Personal Care Services section
• Updated the Claim Voids and Replacements section
• Updated the Division of Aging HCBS Waiver Rates section
• Updated the Provider Compliance Reviews section
• In Section 6: Care Management, added that care managers need to be cleared by background checks
• Updated Section 7: Service Definitions and Requirements
• Updated Section 8: Provider Help

Outpatient Facility Services

• Changed references for revenue code payment information from the Revenue Codes code document to the Outpatient Fee Schedule
• Added reference to the Outpatient Fee Schedule in the Introduction section
• In the Rate Reduction section, added that the reduction does not apply to UPL payments
• Updated the Billing for Outpatient Facility Services section
• Updated the Treatment Room Visits section with billing limit on treatment room revenue code families
