Earlier this year, the Family and Social Services Administration announced the availability of day service sustainability funding to support some of its home and community-based providers who have been impacted by the current COVID-19 pandemic.
As part of that announcement, FSSA committed “to actively evaluate and pursue additional provider relief options.”
Today, we are pleased to share the availability of a new grant funding opportunity focused on addressing increased COVID-19 related expenses experienced by group home providers and HCBS waiver residential services providers. This opportunity is a result of our partnership with INARF and FSSA’s commitment to pursuing additional provider relief options. Interested providers will have an opportunity to apply for grants beginning on Nov. 16, 2020, and ending on Nov. 30, 2020.
This funding opportunity is intended to reimburse eligible providers for certain COVID-related expenses incurred during the period from March 1, 2020, through Dec. 30, 2020. The total amount of the grant will be capped at 4.2% of Medicaid claims processed for the period from March 1, 2019, through Dec. 31, 2019, for group homes and the following HCBS Waiver services:
