Call to Action: Contact the White House about the Department of Labor Overtime Exemption Rule4/12/2016
Earlier this week, INARF’s national partner ANCOR met with the White House to make the final case on why we need changes to the Department of Labor Overtime Exemption Rule before it is released for implementation (it could be released any day and likely no later than June 12!). The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) at the White House is the last step before federal rules are finalized. ANCOR made its case to OMB and needs YOU to weigh in with them so they know how important this is to protecting services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities around the country.
While we all are united in supporting the intent and value of the proposed rule, it does not consider the unique situation of providers who depend on Medicaid program funding to provide essential services to people with disabilities. We need the Obama Administration, which has strongly supported community living principles, to make sure that they take into account our services with this final rule! Take just a few minutes to make YOUR voice heard. Follow the easy instructions below to take action! STEP 1: CLICK HERE for the Letter Template and fill out the highlighted sections STEP 2: Save the Document as "(YOUR ORG) DOL Overtime Comments" STEP 3: Send your document to: OIRA_submission@omb.eop.gov and cc: kberland@ancor.org, egrant@ancor.org, and sarah@inarf.org.
