As a required component of the upcoming Community Integration and Habilitation Waiver (CIHW) renewal, the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) and the Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) have developed a high level transition plan outlining how Indiana will meet the requirements under the new rules set forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

The Caregiver Support Services is 100 percent state funded and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications received during fiscal year 2014 for Caregiver Support Services do not carry over to fiscal year 2015. -- To: Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services Providers From: Nicole Norvell, Director, Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services Re: Train-the-Trainer Core A/B Medication Administration Date: July 3, 2014 The Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services (BDDS) will host a Train-the-Trainer Core A/B Medication Administration training session on August 15, 2014, at the Indiana Government Center South in Indianapolis. The Training Session will be held in Conference Center Room 19 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and is for agency nurses who work for approved BDDS providers. Once the training is completed, agency nurses will be approved to train agency staff. Attendees must register for the training, as there is a 40 person limit for the session.
