WHD Webinar - WIOA restrictions on the payment of a subminimum wage under the section 14(c) program4/17/2017
The Wage and Hour Division will host a webinar for section 14(c) certificate holders about the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act’s (WIOA) restrictions on the payment of a subminimum wage under the section 14(c) program. The webinar will review the WIOA requirements for certificate holders, WHD’s enforcement authority and implementation, as well as brief highlights of the recently revised certificate application forms (WH-226 and WH-226A). There will be a limited period of time to address your questions. The webinar is free and open to the public.
The webinar will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, from 9:30 am – 10:30 am (Eastern Daylight Savings Time). The webinar will be repeated on Thursday, April 27, 2017, from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm (Eastern DST). Please attend only one webinar session. The INARF Training & Professional Development Committee will be participating in the annual retreat on May 11 & 12 and are interested in hearing from you. The INARF 2017 Annual Conference included a combination of presentations and panel discussions led by members which were very well-received. All proposals will be reviewed by the committee and selected based on the topic’s relevance, learning objectives, and content as well as the presenter’s practical knowledge and experience with the subject matter. House Bill 1102, which establishes a task force to study the overall support needs and support services needed for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities has cleared another important legislative action today. The Indiana House in an 86-0 vote, concurred with changes made to HB 1102 by the Indiana Senate. This bill is now ready for the Governor to sign.
