In addition to the award recipients noted above, INARF was proud to recognize two outstanding Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) with the Costa N. Miller Scholarship Award at the 2014 Annual Awards Luncheon on March 13.
INARF was proud to honor three exemplary Individuals and one outstanding organization at the 2014 INARF Annual Awards Luncheon on March 13. The INARF Annual Awards Luncheon has been an Association tradition for many years. This yearly opportunity enables INARF members to recognize the significant contributions and outstanding efforts of individuals and community partners committed to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Using various interactive approaches, Linda Dausend opened the 2014 INARF Pre-Conference with her "Leading Change" presentation. The Leadership Symposium gathered 115 attendees to share information about challenges faced when key changes impact an organization. Common themes identified involved changes with people management, changes in leadership and funding.
Dr. Chuck Dietzen opened the 2014 INARF Annual Conference, challenging attendees to 'find their passion.' With over 300 in attendance, Dr. Chuck offered a motivational and heart-warming presentation based on lessons learned through many and varied life adventures.
"Forty Years of Growth and Influence," the much anticipated 2014 INARF Annual Conference, began on March 13 with a welcome by Board Chair Steve Sacksteder followed by a powerful keynote address by Dr. Chuck Dietzen, founder and president of Indianapolis-based non-profit Timmy Global Health. The audience was inspired by Dr. Deitzen's descriptions of people with disabilities in need, and what it takes to make a real difference in the world. The inspiration continued, as the accomplishments and contributions of members, community partners, and individuals we serve were honored at the Annual Awards Luncheon.
