-- To: Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services Stakeholders From: Nicole Norvell, Director, Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services Re: Supervised Group Living Homes to Waiver Homes Conversion Update Date: June 4, 2013 In a prior communication dated January 24, 2013, information was shared regarding assistance from the State to providers in the conversion of Supported Group Living (SGL) Homes to Waiver Homes. This communication outlined that the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) would work with Providers on a 1-on-1 basis until June 30, 2013, to develop and award provider-specific Risk Mitigation Grants. DDRS has been completing this process with many Providers and will continue to do so past June 30, 2013, on an individual basis, as DDRS is committed to ensuring that each of our consumers’ needs are met and health and safety are provided for. The Risk Mitigation Grants will continue to be available after June 30 to providers.
DDRS is currently evaluating the entire conversion process. As announced at the INARF Quarterly Provider meeting on May 16, 2013, the state will not continue to allow the Risk Mitigation to be utilized to pay down mortgages. Additional guidance will be posted to SGL webpage in the next several weeks regarding the overall conversion process including more directed information regarding proposal requirements and transition procedures. DDRS requests that each SGL Provider contact John Hill regarding the development of a conversion plans and budgets. John can be reached at 317-234-6311 or John.Hill@FSSA.IN.gov.
Thank you for your continued efforts in ensuring our consumers receive all supports necessary to enable them to achieve healthy, self-sufficient and productive lives. Comments are closed.
