Effective August 28, 2017, the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) is repealing the November 1, 2005 Waiver Policy Notification: Provision of Medicaid Services Outside of the State of Indiana. A repeal means the policy is no longer valid in regards to DDRS Home and Community Based Services waivers and cannot be referenced, so please dispose accordingly.
A new policy will be released with updated regulations regarding vacations and out of state travel. This policy will take effect on August 28, 2017. The changes will reflect the DDRS’ position that billing is allowable for in-state overnight trips and day trips. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the BDDS Director of Policy, Britt Sutton at firstname.lastname@example.org.
