-- To: DDRS employees, service providers, contractors, vendors, and all stakeholders who support individuals with disabilities in Indiana From: Peter A. Bisbecos, DDRS Director Date: September 24, 2009 Re: Reminder of Reduction in State Mileage Reimbursement Rate
The Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) is sending this message as a courtesy reminder to state employees, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders who are eligible for mileage reimbursement. On September 15, 2009, the Indiana Department of Administration and the State Budget Agency released the following memorandum regarding a Reduction in State Mileage Reimbursement Rate:
“On July 1, 2008, the Indiana state mileage reimbursement rate was increased from $0.40 per mile to $0.44 per mile. This increase recognized the impact of sharply higher gas prices at the time. Fuel prices have since declined and remain significantly below costs experienced at the time of the reimbursement increase. Effective October 1, 2009, the mileage reimbursement rate will be reduced to the previous level of $0.40 for each business mile driven.” Link to Original Memorandum: http://www.in.gov/idoa/files/State_mileage_reimbursement_rate_memo.pdf All requests for reimbursement for travel submitted on or after October 1, 2009 are to at the $0.40 per business mile driven. Please make any necessary adjustments for outstanding travel that has been authorized beginning October 1, 2009. Thank you. Reference #: DDRS20090924 Comments are closed.
