Dr. Chuck Dietzen opened the 2014 INARF Annual Conference, challenging attendees to 'find their passion.' With over 300 in attendance, Dr. Chuck offered a motivational and heart-warming presentation based on lessons learned through many and varied life adventures. Drawing on his experience as a pediatric rehabilitation specialist, Founder and President of Timmy Global Health, Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of iSalusHealthcare, Medical Director of Easter Seals Crossroads Rehabilitation Center, and Management Consultant for St. Francis Healthcare System, Dr. Chuck used storytelling and pictures to illustrate the critical principles needed to not just find, but live your passion. Always returning to the concept of those we serve as our "spiritual leaders," Dr. Chuck reinforced the critical understanding that everyone has something to offer. He emphasized that it is our responsibility to not just support those we serve in realizing this potential, but to help those around them to be open to understanding and receiving their contributions. Dr. Chuck encouraged that as attendees work toward the goal of finding their passion and working to change the world, they must be present, vulnerable, selfless, compassionate, courageous, faithful, true, hopeful, humble and thankful. By applying these principles, attendees can unlock and explore the experiences needed to accomplish this goal. Comments are closed.
