The Indiana election was a landslide for Republicans. In addition to Donald Trump being elected President of the United States, Indiana followed suit electing all statewide candidates from the Republican ticket. Indiana Lt. Governor-Elect: Suzanne Crouch Indiana Attorney General: Curtis Hill Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction: Jennifer McCormick On the federal level, the Indiana Congressional Delegation remained 7-2 Republican, with State Senator Jim Banks and Trey Hollingsworth winning the 3rd and 9th Congressional Districts respectively, both replacing Republicans. Congressman Todd Young (R, IN-9) won the open United States Senate seat for Indiana. Indiana continues to have a Democrat and a Republican in the Senate. The Indiana House of Representatives Republican caucus lost one seat making the breakdown 70 Republicans and 30 Democrats. Six new Republicans and four new Democrats will be sworn in on November 22, Organization Day. In the Indiana Senate Republicans picked up one new seat making the breakdown 41 Republicans and 9 Democrats.
