Leaders from the the disability community were onhand to welcome Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) Secretary Debra Minott and newly appointed Division of Disabili ties and Rehabilitative Services Director Nicole Norvell at the Skyline Club in Indianapolis. Jointly hosted by INARF and the Arc of Indiana, the well-attended event drew over 65 attendees from around the state. Secretary Minott brings a wealth of experience to FSSA from her previous positions as Vice President & Associate General Counsel for Hill-Rom, Indiana State Personnel Director, and Senior Counsel at Eli Lilly and Company. She earned her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Michigan. Director Norvell is an experienced public servant who brings knowledge and experience from the Indiana Department of Education, where she served as Director of Special Education. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Purdue University and a Masters in Social Work from Indiana University. Ms. Norvell will begin her new role with FSSA on April 15. INARF and the Arc of Indiana look forward to working collaboratively with FSSA leadership and staff to develop innovative a nd effective ways to serve people with disabilities and their families.
