The INARF Political Action Committee (INARF PAC) exists to further the influence of INARF members who make up Indiana's provider community. The PAC is a powerful advocacy tool which allows INARF to support incumbents and candidates who embrace INARF's policy positions and serve as friends and champions of the provider community.
Last week, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WOIA) in a 415 to 6 vote. Two weeks prior the Senate approved the same measure by a vote of 95 to 3.
With a focus on obtaining provider feedback, the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) held its Quarterly Provider Meeting on July 16th at the Indiana Government Center. To accomplish this focus, the Division experimented with a new format by facilitating group discussion on six critical DDRS issues in hopes of stimulating meaningful dialogue. -- To: Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services Providers From: Nicole Norvell, DDRS Director Re: Reminder - Quarterly Provider Meeting Agenda and Registration Date: July 8, 2014 The Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) would like to remind DDRS providers to register for the Quarterly Provider Meeting on July 16, 2014, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Indiana Government Center South Auditorium. DDRS is asking that all providers attend this meeting in person in order to work in small facilitated groups to ensure meaningful discussion. Due to the format of this meeting a webinar option will not be offered this quarter. The Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) announced that Caregiver Support Services funds will be available for the fiscal year 2015 beginning July 1, 2014. This service is 100 percent state funded and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. As a reminder, applications must be completed for each fiscal year's Caregiver Support Services funds.
