INARF Member and State Use Provider Carey Services was featured on the Hometown Heroes segment of the Fox & Friends morning show. The segment recognized the Mr. Canary Co. as a small business doing good by partnering with Carey Services to produce its birdfeeders. The feeders are assembled and shipped from Carey Services’ Marion facility-based employment center. -- INDIANAPOLIS (March 23, 2015) - Indiana’s Loan Repayment Assistance Program for Mental Health and Addiction Professionals is currently accepting applications to provide loan repayment assistance to eligible psychiatrists, addiction psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurses, addiction counselors, and mental health professionals, who are licensed (or on a licensure track), accepting a new position or establishing a new practice in Indiana. Applications must be submitted or postmarked by April 30, 2015 for consideration and are available on the state’s loan repayment website. In January 2015, the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services (BRS) released the final version of the changes planned for the Vocational Rehabilitation Employment Services Rates, including a description of the Hybrid Service Model that will replace the current Results Based Funding (RBF) on July 1, 2015. The INARF Vocational Rehabilitation Work Group was instrumental in the development of this model, and continues to work with BRS to finalize service components.
Action on bills that INARF is watching in the General Assembly picked up this week. A number of bills have been set for hearing next week.
The Senate’s version of the budget, HB 1001, will be the subject of a Senate Appropriations committee hearing on Thursday, April 9th. Until then, Appropriations is scheduling hearings on elected offices and selected state agencies. No hearing is currently set for FSSA. |
