    Types of Memberships  
     

The membership is comprised of two levels: Institutional Members and Associate Members. Currently, the Association has over 80 Institutional Members and 20 Associate Members. The different qualifications and benefits offered for each level.


Institutional Membership

Qualifications for an Institutional Membership requires that the candidate must be a corporation, association, organization, agency or functional unit, other than a governmental entity or subdivision thereof and must:

  1. Provide or procure rehabilitation, residential and/or early intervention services with allocations from its annual budget.
  2. Operate or sponsor a rehabilitation facility and/or rehabilitation program which provides education, training, sheltered employment, residential services or other service to persons who are mentally or physically disabled.
  3. Be recommended by the Membership Committee in accordance with such other criteria as may be established for such class by the Board of Directors.
  4. Agree to pay and pay the required dues for such class according to a formula and a schedule established from time to time by the Board of Directors for such class;
  5. Comply with the policies and By-Laws of the Association.
  6. Satisfy such other requirements as may be prescribed by the Association’s Board of Directors.

The benefits available for the Institutional Member include:

  1. May have its chief executive officer or any of its other senior managers serve on the Board of Directors, if elected, and hold office, if elected.
  2. May have access to all benefits and services provided by the Association, including publications designed for INARF members and access to the Members Only Section of this site.
  3. Shall appoint a delegate to cast its single vote at the membership meetings in person or by proxy executed in writing.
  4. May participate through its representatives as a voting member in meetings of any Professional Interest Section which may be established by the Board of Directors.
  5. May have one or more of its representatives attend and participate in all meetings of the Association’s members, as well as meetings of those Committees specified by the Board of Directors and any Professional Interest Section which the Board of Directors by establish.

Associate Membership

Qualifications for an Associate membership requires the following:

  1. Not be eligible to be an Institutional Member.
  2. Be engaged in an activity or business providing products or services available for purchase by rehabilitation facilities or rehabilitation personnel in the State of Indiana.
  3. Be recommended by an Institutional Member of the Association.
  4. Agree to pay and pay the required dues for such class according to a formula and a schedule established from time to time by the Board of Directors for such class.
  5. Comply with the policies and By-Laws of the Association.
  6. Satisfy such other requirements as may be prescribed by the Association’s Board of Directors.

Benefits

The benefits available for the Associate Member include that they:

  1. May have one or more of its representatives attend and participate in training programs and conferences of the Association.
  2. May participate as a voting member in meetings of any Professional Interest Sections which may be established by the Board of Directors.
  3. Will have access to such benefits and services as are specified by the Board of Directors for Associate members, including an INARF membership directory.
